Hello from Emily Kaye
Emily Kaye left us in the spring time to head over to Austria for the summer season, find out below on what Emily has been getting up to.
“I've worked the summer season as a mountain walking guide in the Hohe Tauern National Park in Austria. This has basically meant taking groups out into the mountains each day on guided walks.
It's meant getting physically very fit, and learning a lot about wild flowers and other flora and fauna. It's an amazing part of the world. 20 minutes from the town where I'm based is where the alps meet the dolomites, so there is some incredibly diverse scenery and lots of exciting rock for climbing and via ferrata fun.
The summer season is May to September and during that time we've seen 38 degree heatwaves and big dumps of snow.
I've had the luxury of more time to devote to my own yoga practise and have a little roof terrace in the building where I live to do my sun salutations whilst praising the mountains every morning :)
I am now returning for the Autumn and am looking forward to seeing you all at the studio.
I am running a workshop at Indee, Movement and Meditation 11th October 7pm.
Rather than meditating in stillness, repetitive movement and yoga sequences will be used to bring focus to the breath. With this, we will create a movement meditation.
This restorative workshop will explore various meditation techniques, including yoga poses, pranayama (breathing exercises) and periods of stillness.
Look forward to candles, music and a long svasana with hands-on adjustments inspired by Indian head massage.
Expect to leave feeling grounded, revived and restored.”
We are looking forward to seeing Emily in the studio very soon and finding out more about her adventures.
You can book onto her workshop via our website.
